Do I need a TN visa?

One of our most frequently asked questions is “do I need a TN visa?”. You do not need a TN visa if you obtain remote work through JobArc. TN visas are only required for Canadians working in the United States. TN visas are not required for Canadians working remotely (at home).

JobArc will have an employer/employee relationship with you that is 100% Canadian. JobArc will be a service vendor (contractor) to an American business. JobArc makes the relationship simple on both ends. 

As a regular Canadian employee, you will receive direct deposit payroll payments, extended health benefits, and an annual T4 tax slip. You will not need to file US tax returns (or obtain US tax number).
